What We Do!
Speech and Language Builders provides private speech and language services for both children and adults as well as psychological assessment services for children for potential diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities/Global Developmental Delay.
Our Children’s Program:
Therapy sessions are based on the individual needs of each child. Goals are set and tailored according to their needs and progress during therapy sessions. We utilize activities that will spark your child’s interest to promote their engagement in achieving goals – while having fun.
It is our belief, and the research supports this belief, that parents are an integral part of their child’s progress. Children are able to achieve success more quickly when families continue to work on goals outside of each therapy session; therefore, your involvement with follow-up at home will greatly impact your child’s overall success! We will help educate and empower you as a parent so you too will have the ability to help develop your child’s speech and language skills. In this way, we all become Speech and Language Builders!
Our Adult Program:
Therapy sessions are based on your individual and specific communication needs. Together we will evaluate the identified areas of difficulty and establish a treatment plan. Evaluation may consist of structured or standardized assessments, informal assessment activities, and/or observation. The nature of intervention sessions can vary greatly depending on issues identified – We always work in collaboration with you – as well as other service providers as needed to offer the most comprehensive service.
