Autism Services

Assessment

We are pleased to offer evidence-based Autism Assessments for families who have concerns about potential developmental differences in their child. These may include differences in social communication, narrow or rigid interests, sensory sensitivities, and difficulties engaging with peers.

At Speech & Language Builders, our assessments follow a multidisciplinary approach, ensuring a thorough and collaborative process. This team-based evaluation involves both a Registered Doctoral Psychologist and a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist, working together to provide a complete picture of your child’s strengths and challenges.

For more information, including a detailed description of this service, please visit the “Psychological Assessment” tab on our website.

Speech and Language Therapy

At Speech & Language Builders, we provide client-centered, evidence-based speech and language services tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Our goal is to support meaningful communication by building on each client’s strengths and interests. All of our services are guided by current research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology and autism support. We work closely with families and caregivers to ensure therapy is collaborative, goal-oriented, and relevant to real-life situation.

Individual Therapy

We offer individual treatment sessions with a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist listed on the Saskatchewan Autism Services registry. Each session is thoughtfully designed to address specific communication goals, such as improving expressive and receptive language, and developing functional communication.

Group Programs

In addition to one-on-one therapy, we also offer group sessions focused on social communication skills. These small-group settings provide opportunities for children to learn and practice important social interaction strategies, including turn-taking, conversation skills, perspective-taking, and flexible thinking, self-advocacy in a supportive and engaging environment. You can find more information on our website Social Connections and Special Interest Camps.
