Psychological Testing for Children
Psychological Assessment Service – Autism Assessment
At Speech & Language Builders, our assessment process begins with an initial consultation to better understand your child’s developmental history, current functioning, and areas of concern. During this consultation, we carefully consider whether a comprehensive Autism assessment is appropriate. This process allows us to explore presenting concerns, ask detailed questions, and ensure that we are recommending the most suitable next step for your child and family.
If an Autism assessment is indicated, we provide a comprehensive, evidence-based evaluation led by our experienced interdisciplinary team:
-
Dr. Lynn Loutzenhiser, Registered Doctoral Psychologist
-
Terryann McCurry, Registered Speech-Language Pathologist
This collaborative approach ensures a well-rounded understanding of your child’s unique profile across cognitive, communication, social, emotional, and behavioural domains. By integrating parent interviews, standardized testing, clinical observations, and speech-language evaluation, we are able to provide a clear and accurate diagnosis, along with individualized recommendations to support your child’s development.
We specialize in comprehensive Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments for children aged 2 years, 6 months to 12 years.
Our goal is to provide families with clarity, thoughtful guidance, and a roadmap for next steps so you can move forward with confidence and appropriate supports in place.
